About the Shenango Area Fire District.


The Shenango Area Fire District proudly serves the residents, businesses, and visitors of Shenango Township and surrounding areas in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to protect life, property, and the environment through professional fire suppression, emergency medical response, rescue operations, and public safety education.

Staffed by a dedicated team of trained volunteer emergency responders, the Shenango Area Fire District is committed to rapid response, continual training, and operational readiness. Our personnel regularly train to meet state and national standards, ensuring we are prepared to handle emergencies ranging from structure fires and vehicle accidents to medical emergencies, hazardous conditions, and severe weather events.

Beyond emergency response, the Fire District plays an active role in community risk reduction and preparedness. We work closely with local government, law enforcement, emergency management, and neighboring fire departments to provide coordinated, efficient service. Public education, fire prevention initiatives, and community outreach are essential parts of our mission.
