Smoke Alarm Program

Are you a Shenango Township or South New Castle Borough resident living without a smoke alarm in your home? If so, we would like to talk to you. Over the last year, Shenango Township has made a commitment to increase the awareness about the importance of having a working smoke alarm in each residence. We have a limited supply of smoke alarms and batteries available, free of charge, to our residents that do not currently have an operational alarm in their home. The statistics are staggering. Three out of five home fire deaths result from fires in properties without smoke alarms. The risk of dying in a home fire is cut in half in homes with working alarms. Do not become a statistic, contact us today while limited supplies are available.
